Despite the different colors and shapes, all the minerals shown below consist of silicium dioxide (also known as Quarz, which is also the main component of sand). Besides minerals, I also collect rocks and fossiles. Unfortunately this is a heavy hobby and 99.9% of my collection is at the moment stored in crates on some attic in Germany awaiting better times.
